Medical Technology

The Global Health Network encourages and works with local and international medical practitioners in their conception, design and ultimately in the creation process of new medical technology intended to help in the treatment of medical problems and in the resolution of health epidemics worldwide. Such assistance may come in forms of collaboration, distribution or consultation on an international scale.

Based on the demands of the health care sector, GHN seeks to promote new industries within the medical technology division, facilitating medical practitioners in their analysis and providing patients with improved treatment in their recovery.

GHN’s partners use product development and clinical trials to provide hospitals and private businesses with the most advanced and current medical technology on the market. One such product is the recent development of the IS02 Oxygen mask by Canadian renowned doctor and professor, Joseph A. Fisher M.D. FRCP(C), which protects the health care worker from respiratory infections such as SARS and costs the same as a regular green oxygen mask.

The new alliance with medical practitioners and inventors alike, allows GHN to further its goal of fostering social initiatives through access to new forms of medical education and technology. Such products are being promoted in the Asia Pacific Region where recent challenges in the containment of the SARS and avian influenza, demonstrate the need for improved medical technology to manage and contain the risk of further outbreak.
